Ed Axtell at Seer Green Beer Fest September 2018

On a sunny autumnal afternoon in the middle of nowhere  Ed Axtell entertains the local village Seer Green, at the annual beer festival,

Ed is an inspiring folk musician from High Wycombe, and the opportunity for him was just a perfect gateway to express his music and talent.

The audience was captivated from the start with the wit from Ed but strangely it worked and more people paused from buying drinks and came to listen to what could be offered and it certainly did not disappoint.

Ed started his set with an original “Returning Tides”, which he wrote back when he was studying his A Levels and the song caught the audience off guard with what started as such a soothing acoustic piece it changed into more of a folk piece which suddenly got a bit of energy out of nowhere!

Ed is looking to release an EP in the upcoming months and he gave the crowd a little teaser of some songs one of these was “Elijah”, a piece which was more of the indie style which focussed more on the lyrics and you were just lost in the music.

The set also included a cover of Vance Joy’s “Riptide” a classic, which got the crowd singing along in the autumn sunshine.

From looking around eyes were welling up as the music was touching but if you were to ask anyone why they started crying they would have said it was the effect of the alcohol……

Songs played: Glowstick, Returning Tide, Elijah, Riptide (Cover of Vance Joy).
